While Suzie’s Friends does have some of the most loveable and “cuddly” pets around, we’d like to remind you that most of these animals were brought to us after being abandoned, homeless and most of them have even been abused. Please do your part to help end this cruelty. Help out one of Suzie’s Friends today!

Back in the fall, Ms. Susan Childre showed up at EnviroSpec with the most pitiful piece of hair and bones you will ever, in your entire life, see. She had passed the pup one day lying in the ditch and the next day when she rode back by he was still there. When she went to investigate she noticed that he could not move anything but his head.
We had just returned from our Vet with another emergency and walked in to see this. Shelley and our operations manager Richard jumped in the truck and headed back to Lake Park.
Long story short – Dr. Lea McNeil (our Vet) decided that she was going to save this little fellow if he really wanted to live. Honestly, you would have had better odds at winning the lottery.
It was days before he could even stand. He ate lying down. He didn’t have the ability to go outside to the bathroom. Imagine the compassion that Dr. Lea and her staff must have to have taken on this challenge.
Thanks to Ms. Childre & Dr. Lea & her staff – “SPIRIT” is alive and getting better every day. He will never come back 100% but he will always be around as an inspiration and reminder to us all that our society really is best represented by people who show compassion for, not only their fellow person, but for all God’s creatures.
During their stay with Suzie they have recieved any medical attention
they may have needed, as well as all the love that they could stand!
