About Suzie’s Friends Animal Shelter

Suzie’s Friends is a no-kill shelter in Homerville, Georgia founded by Shelley and Johnny Allison. When the Allisons found Suzie, she was homeless, hungry and in need of immediate medical attention. Her front right leg dragged the ground when she walked, and the vet said the leg had been dislocated in this manner for two years! If Suzie had received the care she needed when this injury occurred she would be running and playing on all four legs today. Because of such awful neglect, however, Suzie had to have her leg amputated. The Allisons hope to make sure other animals get the care they need by forming Suzie’s Friends!
